Committees

These are the committees defined within Kentucky Emergency Management Association, Incorporated. Click the view members link or the committee name to see a list of committee members. By-Laws Committee The bylaws committee is responsible for gathering all the information necessary to consider amendments to the bylaws; to review and draft rules for the conduct of council and membership meetings; to review and draft rules for the preparation of resolutions, memorials, and tributes; and to make recommendations to the association in accordance with the by laws.
KEMA's Certification Committee is responsible for the development and administration of the Certified Kentucky Emergency Management (CKEM) credential. Members review applications and make recommendations to the Board for bestowment of the credential.
KEMA's Conference and Education Committee is charged with development of a training program for the annual conference by working with members and the Division of Emergency Management.
Finance
KEMA's Finance Committee is charged with examining the Association's assets, assisting the Treasurer, and recommending a budget to the Board.
Legislative
KEMA's Legislative Committee is charged with examining legislative issues and makes recommendations to the Board for action to be taken by the Association.
Membership Committee The role of membership committees is to provide services and resources to KEMA. The most effective way they can do this is to compile all of the most useful and relevant information for members to get the most out of their membership into one document.
