The Kentucky Emergency Management Association is a Kentucky-based non-profit corporation originally established in 1991. Our activities seek to develop professionalism in the field of Emergency Management both inside and outside the Commonwealth through partnerships across both the public and private sectors.

KEMA established and maintains the only Emergency Management Certification Program that exists in the Commonwealth. It is a comprehensive approach the makes the candidate go the extra mile to achieve the title. It is not a short process, but it well worth it in the end. This program is just another example of KEMA's commitment to professionalization of Emergency Management in the Commonwealth.
